About Spectrum Strong

Hi, I'm Jamaila

You may feel like your world just changed in an instant.

I remember that moment too. When my first son was diagnosed, I wasn’t just scared, I was completely overwhelmed. I had already helped raise my younger sister, who has profound autism. I thought I knew what to expect. But nothing prepares you for being the parent. The one everyone looks to for answers.

I didn’t have a roadmap. So I built one. Now I help other families do the same.

Presume Competence. Trust Your Gut. Learn as You Go.

I believe in progress over perfection, and that every child is capable of more than we’re told.

My coaching is grounded in lived experience, years of research, and the mindset that the first step is to believe in your child. From there, everything becomes more possible.

Here’s what guides the work I do with families like yours:

  • Family – You are the anchor in your child’s life. You deserve support too.
  • Compassion – There’s no judgment here. Just deep listening and care.
  • Gratitude – Every step forward matters. We’ll celebrate each one.
  • Acceptance – Different is not less. We always assume your child is capable.
  • Knowledge – You’ll gain clarity so you can make informed, confident choices.
  • Peace – When you feel grounded, your whole family benefits.

I don’t give you another long to-do list. I help you figure out what’s essential and what’s actually helping.

Why This Work Is Deeply Personal

This work isn't a career change. It's my life's calling.

After 18 years in corporate leadership, including roles in nuclear manufacturing and telecom, with my last role being Director of project and process management, I found myself completely depleted. My boys needed more from me, and I needed to find a different way to live. In 2023, after a layoff that felt like a divine redirection, I took a year to pour into my family, and into myself.

During that time, I used my corporate skills for my real life. I created a custom plan for each of my boys, created goals, and prioritized what we could actually do. I tried everything that made sense. Diet changes. Detox work. Lab testing. Advocacy. A hundred hours of research. And it helped. Not just my sons, but me.

After years of feeling powerless, I realized I could take all of my previous career skills, problem-solving, root cause analysis, strategic project planning, and apply them to create customized plans for others.

Other families started asking how we did it. What I used. Who I trusted. And that's when I realized I had something powerful to offer. I see the gap with all of the doctors visits, nutritionists, and other practitioners, they give blanket recommendations with not enough customized planning. There's no goal, very little measurements, and no timelines. Each discipline gives their own separate plan, but no one puts it all together. People leave more confused than if they were prepared on the whole process.

So I created Spectrum Strong. Not to be anyone's hero. But to be a partner for the road ahead.

I Work Best With Parents Who Are Ready to Try Something New

I work best with parents of young children (ages 2 to 10) who are recently diagnosed and ready to take the next step. If you’re feeling overwhelmed and looking for more than just standard therapy, this may be the support you’ve been missing.

You’re my kind of client if you:

  • Want your child to communicate, eat better, or potty-train
  • Feel stuck after trying ABA or speech with minimal progress
  • Are open to lab testing, root cause strategies, and lifestyle shifts
  • Want answers that go beyond the basics
  • Believe your child deserves more than just coping strategies

What You Can Expect When We Work Together

Coaching with me is practical, nonjudgmental, and deeply personalized.

I create a space where you can be honest. Where there’s no shame in not knowing. Where you can cry, laugh, and ask the questions you’ve been too afraid to say out loud.

Expect me to:

  • Really listen to your story and your child’s behavior
  • Ask thoughtful questions that help uncover the “why”
  • Teach you how to read lab results and talk to your doctor
  • Share options that fit your family’s time, energy, and values
  • Help you make progress with less stress and more clarity

You might show up with a hundred tabs open in your brain and leave with a focused plan, a calmer heart, and a sense that someone finally sees the whole picture.
